VNL launches made-in-India LTE systems

VNL announced the launch of its LTE systems — by telecom minister Manoj Sinha — optimised for rural networks at India Telecom 2018.

The VNL LTE portfolio has access and core network elements for cost effective mobile broadband services for remote and rural deployments. A press release from VNL did not reveal much details.

VNL chairman Rajiv Mehrotra said: “The 4G/LTE telecom products is the outcome of our in-house R&D capabilities and signify India’s inherent strengths in the area of telecom equipment manufacturing.”

Telecom engineers can deploy the system for variety of applications including emergency communication, communication needs of off shore oil fields, mines and other institutional requirements.
