This apart, Huawei LampSite indoor coverage solution, capable of supporting 2×20 MHz LTE carriers and Wi-Fi, enables multi-mode/band operation on a single pRRU platform. In addition, the LampSite solution utilizes MIMO and LTE-A technologies.

Following the trials, speed has increased and the telecom operator’s customers benefitted from better experience. The other benefits include mobile coverage, better mobile broadband speeds, faster download and enhanced video experience.

“The ability to enhance the capacity of existing indoor systems when they needed without the need for costly retrofitting of existing infrastructure and quick time-to-market of enhanced indoor LTE coverage are the main benefits,” said Lim Eng Huat, vice president of Mobile Network Engineering, StarHub.
