Proximus Selects Tech Mahindra to Build Technology Platform

Proximus, Belgium’s foremost provider of digital services and communications solutions, has selected Tech Mahindra to conceptualize and construct a technology platform dubbed ‘Tech Hub,’ designed to deliver connectivity solutions.

Leveraging digital offerings, users will experience enhanced flexibility and efficiency in accessing and utilizing connectivity services.

Vikram Nair, President of EMEA Business at Tech Mahindra, emphasized the evolving landscape of the telecom industry, with telcos increasingly focusing on reinventing themselves and exploring new avenues for monetization. He highlighted the pivotal role of Tech Mahindra in spearheading Proximus’s ‘Telco to Techco’ journey.

The ‘Tech Hub’ platform, to be developed by Tech Mahindra, will be powered by Comviva BlueMarble, a platform with cloud-ready architecture. This move underscores Proximus’s commitment to leveraging its superior fiber/5G network, transitioning towards software-based solutions, and delivering innovative features such as 5G Slicing ‘as a Service.’

Antonietta Mastroianni, Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) at Proximus, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Tech Mahindra, highlighting the platform’s ability to blend Proximus’s unique assets into new value propositions across B2C, B2B, and B2B2X segments.

With a robust presence in the European communication sector, Tech Mahindra is actively engaged with over 40 telcos in the region, positioning itself as a key enabler of digital transformation initiatives across Europe.
