Nokia Technologies president Gregory Lee resigned

Nokia announced the resignation of Gregory Lee, president of Nokia Technologies, following sale of the Digital Health business.

Nokia sold Digital Health, following a review of strategic options for the business, to Eric Carreel, co-founder and former chairman of Withings. The sale is part of Nokia’s focus on becoming a business-to-business and licensing company. Nokia in a statement said the licensing businesses of Nokia Technologies are not affected by the sale.

Maria Varsellona will be the new president of Nokia Technologies. Maria Varsellona will also continue the role of chief legal officer.

Gregory Lee will step down from the Group Leadership Team.

Barry French, Nokia’s chief marketing officer, will replace Gregory Lee on the Board of HMD Global, its partner for Nokia branded mobile phones.
