Huawei showcases AXGP commercial network for SoftBank group in Japan

information and communications technology solutions provider, announced that
Wireless City Planning (WCP), SOFTBANK’s group company, has demonstrated its
Advanced eXtended Global Platform (AXGP) commercial network in Japan.


The network has been deployed by Huawei in the
key economic regions of Tokyo, Osaka. Huawei showcased its end-to-end SingleRAN
solution, including Base Band Unit, Remote Radio Unit, and rich multi-band,
multi-mode LTE TDD commercial devices such as E398, E392 and B593.

Additionally, Huawei exclusively provided WCP with the
LTE TDD/GSM/UMTS multi-mode USB dongle, the E392.

The Huawei deployed AXGP commercial network is fully
compatible with LTE TDD. Using Huawei’s SingleRAN solution, this network can
offer downlink data speeds of 110Mb/s to subscribers.

More than 60 guests were invited by WCP to experience the
AXGP commercial network in Ginza, Tokyo.

The experience included File Transfer Protocol download,
Video On Demand, Face Time and a diverse mix of multi-user on-line data
services. During the experience, the average speed of FTP download was stable
at more than 30Mb/s, and the commercial network provided end users fluent,
stable and clear mobile broadband data services.
