Huawei launches coding competition for college students

huawei-technologies-for-telecomsTelecom equipment and software major Huawei launched coding competition, Huawei Code Craft 2017, during April and May 2017.

Huawei Code Craft 2017 with the theme of Video Era – Layout will provide a major global platform for college students to present their software designing and coding abilities and win prizes.

Huawei has divided the competition into 4 stages: preliminary contest (online), regional repechage (online), quarter-final (on-site), and final (on-site).

Full-time college students — individuals or in a team of up to three students per team — from India, China, Singapore and Russia, having knowledge of C/C++/Java can participate. Huawei will conduct the final stage on 13 May, 2017 at Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China.

Awards:

Material award: The total value of prizes and bonuses amounts to CNY1000,000 (USD 145,000). The highest bonus stands at CNY 200,000 (USD 29,000).

Opportunity award: Special employment offer with high remuneration, providing winners with opportunities to enter the career in fast track.

Honorary award: Winners will get certificates and trophies representing the honor of being recognized by Huawei as software elites.

Final:

First prize (one team): CNY200,000 (USD 29,000) bonus, trophy, certificate, andqualification to participate in talent plans such as Final Interview Express and Internship Express.

Second prize (two teams): CNY100,000 (USD 14,500) bonus, trophy, certificate, and qualification to participate in talent plans such as Final Interview Express and Internship Express.

Third prize (five teams): CNY50,000 (USD 7,250) bonus, trophy, certificate, and qualification to participate in talent plans such as Final Interview Express and Internship Express.

Prize for the most exquisite code (one team): CNY10,000 (USD 1,450) bonus, trophy, certificate, and qualification to participate in for final interview/Internship.

Huawei will give opportunities such as internship, as well as work with Huawei Technologies India in Bengaluru to the winners among Indian students.
