Huawei bags contract from Telefonica for SBC project in Spain

Huawei
Telecom networking supplier Huawei announced its contract with Telefonica for session border controller (SBC) project in Spain.

Huawei will deliver SBCs for Telefonica Spain over the next two years, providing users with access to voice over Long Term Evolution (VoLTE), Rich Communication Suite (RCS), and voice over broadband (VoBB) services.

As per the deal, Huawei will supply SE2900 solution that supports access modes such as FTTH, RCS, and VoLTE access and network interworking. Huawei SE2900 supports smooth evolution to Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), laying a solid foundation for upcoming cloud migration.
