Huawei 2013 result: services for carriers up 21.3 percent to $8.59 billion

Telecom network equipment vendor Huawei today said its sales from services for carriers rose 21.3 percent to $8.59 billion.

Sales from services for carriers now accounts for 31 percent of the total Carrier Network Business Group (CNBG) revenue. It’s the fastest-growing business for the group.

Huawei said its SmartCare CEM Solution was picked up by telecom operators in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific in 2013.

The Chinese telecom equipment vendor currently serves more than 120 carriers in more than 75 countries.

David Leizhankui, senior vice president, Huawei Global Technical Service, said: “Huawei appreciates the challenges carriers face and can offer customized solutions to support them with value creation, E2E Network Planning and Evolution, asset efficiency improvement, and CEM.”

Besides the global centers of expertise (COEs) such as the Big Data Analytics Center in Dublin and the Service Operations Center (SOC) in Jakarta, Huawei has set up its customer experience transformation center (CETC).

Huawei said it can simulate all carrier processes for customer experience measurement at customer experience transformation center (CETC).

Through techniques such as CEM maturity assessment, multi-channel customer journey mapping and use cases for design and verification, CETC will provide carriers with the processes they need to evolve towards experience-centric operations.

Huawei’s Business Outcome Calculator can predict business value. In addition, customizable CE dashboard makes actionable insights available with the swipe of a finger. These help the carrier improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, strengthen user loyalty, create a high-quality brand and ultimately improve ROI.

The company has introduced 200Gbps probes into large-scale commercial use and developed SEQ Analyst platform to provide mature big data storage and analysis capabilities.
