Ericsson signs managed services deal with Zain Saudi Arabia

Ericsson has signed a 3-year managed services deal with Zain in Saudi Arabia.

Ericsson will be responsible for the field operations and maintenance of Zain’s network across Saudi Arabia.

The managed services deal marks Ericsson’s first partnership with Zain in Saudi Arabia.

Ericsson services include day-to-day operations and maintenance of Zain KSA active and passive infrastructure, providing corrective and preventive maintenance services across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Fraser Curley, CEO of Zain Saudi Arabia, said: “We have transferred the day-to-day operations and maintenance services of Zain’s active and passive field infrastructure across the Kingdom including corrective and preventive maintenance services to Ericsson.”

The managed services deal with Ericsson allows Zain to develop its core engineering and technology skills in the more strategic business areas that will allow the operator to provide differentiation in advanced products and services.

Ali Eid, president of Ericsson, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia., said: “Our new partnership with Zain will help Zain to offer differentiated customer experience, strengthen their competitive edge through improving network availability and capacity.”
