Ericsson Names Lars Sandstrom as CFO and Head of Group Function Finance

In a strategic move to bolster its leadership team, Ericsson has appointed Lars Sandstrom as its Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, and Head of Group Function Finance. The telecommunications giant confirmed the news today, signaling a significant change in its executive lineup.
Ericsson-earnings-Q1-2018Lars Sandstrom, currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer and executive team member at Getinge, a leading global player in Medtech, will step into his new role at Ericsson on April 1, 2024.

Based in Sweden, Lars Sandstrom brings a wealth of experience and financial acumen to the table, having been with Getinge since 2017. Holding a Master of Science in Business Administration, Lars Sandstrom has previously held key positions at prominent entities such as AB Volvo, Scania, and Swedish Orphan Biovitrum AB.

The appointment comes as Ericsson bids farewell to Carl Mellander, whose departure was announced in April 2023. Carl Mellander, a stalwart with over 25 years at Ericsson and a member of the Executive Team since 2016, will officially leave the company at the end of the first quarter of 2024.
