Ericsson added 705 employees in June quarter

Ericsson said the number of employees has reached 99,800 on June 30, 2020 from 99,095 in March.

Ericsson said it added 5,044 employees in the last 12 months. It added more than 1,000 employees in South East Asia, Oceania and India between June 2020 and June 2019.

Ericsson’s employee base increased to 25,265 from 24,942 in South East Asia, Oceania and India.

Ericsson’s employee base increased to 13,965 from 13,786 in North East Asia.

Ericsson’s employee base increased to 9,785 from 9,718 in North America.

Ericsson’s employee base increased to 46,521 from 46,402 in Europe and Latin America.

Ericsson’s employee base increased to 12,884 from 12,746 in Sweden

Ericsson’s employee base increased to 4,264 from 4,247 in Middle East and Africa.

Ericsson’s R&D expenses increased to SEK -10.0 billion (-9.5) billion. Ericsson said its R&D expenses excluding restructuring charges were SEK -9.8 billion (-9.5) billion.

Ericsson’s R&D expenses increased in segment Networks, while they declined in Digital Services due to a lower net negative impact from capitalized and amortized development expenses.
