Comba selected as wireless 2G and 3G coverage supplier for Hukou in Taiwan

Comba
Telecom Systems Holdings, a global wireless solutions provider, announced that
it has been selected to design and deliver the multi-operator, multi-system
wireless network for the Hukou to Freeway No.2 Tunnel section of the Taiwan
High Speed Rail.

Comba will
provide and install the wireless equipment to enable the ubiquitous, high
capacity voice and data coverage for the 2G and 3G mobile network systems of
all of Taiwan’s major operators.

Under
the agreement, Comba’s multi-band fiber optic remote radio solutions and panel
antennas will be supplied and installed to enable wireless communications in
the tunnel. Thus, Comba is to provide a complete turnkey solution from system
design, installation, optimisation and commissioning.

“We
are honored and delighted to be selected for this project. Our optimal price /
performance was one of the key winning factors. Our global RF experts carried
out the detailed on-site survey for two weeks to provide the best-in-class
system design. Finally, Comba’s unrivalled expertise and experience in high
speed railway mobile coverage solutions, strong R & D capability and high
quality products provided a compelling value proposition to our Taiwan clients,”
said Felix Lee, general manager of Comba’s Taiwan operations.
