In Radio Dot System deployments, mobile data throughput has improved by up to 5 times, dropped calls have been reduced to zero, and installation times are 4 minutes per Dot.

In 2015, mobile operator deployments of small cell base stations will ramp up as those with LTE networks try to stay ahead of coverage and capacity.

Ed Gubbins, senior analyst with Current Analysis, said: “One influential factor in this regard will be the degree to which multi-vendor networks can be optimized in ways that are satisfying to operators amid widespread vendor promises of RAN optimization capabilities.”
