Alvarion introduces indoor carrier-grade Wi-Fi access point

Telecom Lead America: Alvarion has launched new indoor
Wi-Fi access point, the WBSn-2450-I for indoor carrier-grade Wi-Fi
connectivity.

 

This new access point enables carriers and service
providers to implement a powerful Wi-Fi solution indoors and outdoors.

 

This product is built specifically for our customers who
need to keep up with indoor data challenges, while maintaining a high quality
user experience. The WBSn-2450-I gives operators a high quality Wi-Fi access
point that easily integrates with their core network, while expanding their
service offering, said Ulik Broida, vice president of Products at Alvarion.

 

Suited for large indoor venues where data consumption on
laptops, smartphones and tablets is in high demand, the WBSn-2450-I access
point deliver ideal range and capacity available while maintaining a high
Quality of Experience (QoE).

 

The WBSn-2450-I is based on Alvarion’s two-way spatially
adaptive Beamforming 802.11n, 3×3 MIMO with three spatial data streams.

 

Additionally, it supports 2.4 and 5 GHz radios, which
allows access to existing Wi-Fi devices as well as to new devices being
released now with 5 GHz support such as Blackberry, iPads and new laptop
models.

 

Available from Q4 2012, the WBSn-2450-I includes the
company’s interference immunity suite as in the field-proven
outdoor WBSn models.

 

Alvarion introduces mobile data offloading solution for 3G and
LTE telecom networks

 

A few months back, lvarion unveiled its Mobile Data
Offloading solution for 3G and LTE networks that enable operators to reap
benefits from increased network capacity and coverage in high traffic areas
where data congestion is overloading current 3G/LTE networks.
