Alcatel-Lucent today said its first quarter (Q1 2014) revenue rose 0.3 percent to EUR 2,963 million. It posted net loss of EUR 73 million against net loss of EUR 353 million.
North America revenue decreased to EUR 1,450 million from EUR 1,520 million, while Europe revenue dipped to EUR 657 million from EUR 672 million, Asia Pacific revenue increased to EUR 489 million from EUR 443 million and rest of world revenue fell to EUR 367 million from EUR 428 million, said Alcatel-Lucent.
Asia Pacific posted almost 20 percent growth, driven by activity in Japan and by network roll-outs in China.
Alcatel-Lucent said core networking segment revenues were Euro 1,352 million in Q1 2014, up 6.9 percent compared to Q1 2013.
Alcatel-Lucent said its IP routing revenue rose 16.4 percent to EUR 549 million, IP transport grew 8.6 percent to EUR 454 million, while IP platforms dipped 6.9 percent to EUR 349 million.
Its access revenues fell 4.2 percent to EUR 1,572 million. Out of this, wireless access revenue increased 2.3 percent to EUR 999 million, fixed access rose 2.8 percent to EUR 460 million, while managed services nosedived 50.5 percent to EUR 99 million.
