Alcatel-Lucent provides IP portfolio to BT Ireland

Telecom Lead Europe: Alcatel-Lucent is providing its IP
portfolio, including 7750 Service Router and 5620 Service Aware Manager to BT
Ireland.

 

BT Ireland has selected Alcatel-Lucent’s IP portfolio to
strengthen its recently launched IP Connect Ireland service as part of its
extensive network infrastructure in Ireland.

facing very significant business challenges in a rapidly evolving world. Our BT
IP Connect service, together with the BT Ethernet Connect portfolio, add
intelligence and extensive capabilities to a customer’s network ensuring
optimum and cost efficient performance while enabling a business to streamline
and accelerate their network,” said Colm McVeigh, Head of Marketing, Product
& Strategy, BT Ireland.

 

BT Ireland is already using Alcatel-Lucent platform for
cost-effective and feature-rich Ethernet delivery. With the selection of IP
portfolio, Alcatel-Lucent is now become a supplier of both carrier-class
Ethernet and IP VPN services to BT in Ireland.

The latest generation of Alcatel-Lucent’s platform
hardware and software will empower BT’s IP Connect Ireland to deliver
business-critical features cost-effectively via a wide range of access methods.

 

Alcatel-Lucent to boost Swisscom IPTV revenues

 

Alcatel-Lucent is also empowering Swisscom to offer its
customers the ability to record TV programs and store them in the cloud and
then watch their recordings on any connected screen.
