Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ powers Samsung’s foldable smartphones

Qualcomm Technologies has revealed that it’s supplying Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 mobile platform for Samsung’s foldable smartphones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4.

The new Galaxy Z series devices from Samsung feature the latest Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 Mobile Connectivity System, which brings premium Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for fast, sustained connection.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 has a 7.6-inch Infinity Flex Display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and packs a 4,400 mAh battery and three rear cameras including a 50MP wide-angle lens. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 has 6.7-inch Infinity Flex display with 120 Hz refresh rate. It’s powered by a 3,700 mAh battery and dual rear cameras.

Snapdragon 8+ provides up to 10 percent faster GPU speeds and CPU processing, as well as up to 30 percent GPU and CPU power efficiency improvement to deliver the ultimate gameplay experience. Snapdragon 8+ also features the 7th generation Qualcomm AI Engine for unbeatable intelligence and up to 20 percent better performance per Watt.
