ZTE has conducted its GSM-R system trial in Ural, Russia, and has passed testing on Russian Railways.

The size of the contract is over $100 million to provide GSM-R, a wireless communications standard for railway communication and scheduling.

ZTE will offer total solutions including Scheduling System, Intelligent Network, Interception & Recording, Transmission, Power, and Terminals for railway lines from Saint Petersburg to Bulovskaya.

“ZTE is pleased to partner with Russian Railways,” said ZTE Vice President Yang Jun. “We are confident that our GSM-R will provide reliable communications and scheduling for more railways.”

At present, ZTE GSM-R field partnerships in China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan and Russia, providing complete solutions for safe railway system.
