Review of iBall Slide tablet

iBall I is generally
known for its computer peripheral devices like keyboards, CPU cabinets,
Webcams, etc. The company has entered the world of tablets with its offering of
-iBall Slide’. The company has chosen Hrithik Roshan as their brand ambassador
for iBall Slide.

The Slide is a 7 inch
tablet that has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G. Some of the top features of iBall
Slide include: the powerful 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor which enables very
smooth functioning and quick browsing. It has in built USB Support and this
allows the user to connect with any USB device.

It has a very
powerful battery; touchscreen and display with 7 inch screen and multi touch
output which ensures zoom in from different angles. It provides a great number
of games and one can also play 3D games with a HD (high definition) picture
quality. Some other features includes Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 8GB built in
memory which is expandable up to 32GB, HD video and music player, HDMI outport,
2 megapixel camera and pre-loaded applications.

The iBall Slide would
be competing with some of the other brands who have launched their tablets
around the same price range and with almost the same features. The Reliance 3G
Tab has 2.3 Gingerboard operating system, super music quality with Dolby mobile
audio enhancement technology. It also has a 7 inch screen, 2 megapixel camera
with both front and rear camera, long battery life of 9 hrs, video recording
with VGA quality. It has almost the same features as that of the iBall Slide
but what is different is the price. While Reliance has all this in Rs 12,990 the
iBall Slide is available for Rs 13,995 which could be a turning point for the
consumers who would prefer the Reliance tab more as compared to the iBall
Slide.

The Bharti Enterprise
Group’s firm Beetle Teletech had launched their Tablet Beetle Magiq at a price
of just 9,999 only. It also has a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen, very strong
battery life i.e. 2200 mAh, 3.5 mm audio jack, dual camera 2 megapixel front
and rear, 3 HSDPA, etc. though the Android operating system in the iBall Slide
is more advanced than that of the Beetle Mgiq which uses Android v2.2 Operating
System.

If the Spice MI 720
tablet is compared to the iBall Slide it has several features which is absent
in the iBall Slide. Like it has a 512 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM, with a 3 megapixel
dual camera, but again the Android operating system in Slide is better than
this as it is using v2.3 OS, Google
Latitude, Maps, Search, Gmail, YouTube, Gtalk, Calendar and Google Voice
support
. Expandable Memory:
Supports up to 32 GB with Micro SD Card Slot, Battery Model: 3240 mAh
Li-polymer battery. The price maybe announced somewhere near Rs 17,000 to Rs
20,000.

The iBall Slide is a
little thick as compared to some of the other tablets available in the market.
With its features the tablet provides the facility of Visual search, Voice
actions, web browsing, e-mail, chat, social networking, Music, gaming, e-book,
news, weather andseveral applications from the Android market which are apt for
the Indian market.

The world-wide
market is phenomenally rising for Tablet PCs and is expected to reach 175
million pcs. By2014. Butthese potential customers have different requirements.
Realizing this gap and keeping up withour reputation to understand the
psychology of the Indian consumer, iBall has come up withthe revolutionary
device iBall Slide. This device truly represents iBall philosophy –
Youreyeball view. Our Technology justifying bringing products as envisaged and
desired by theIndian consumers. iBall Slide is power packed with technology and
features and we are sureiBall Slide will make the Indian consumer enjoy the
ride,” said Sandeep Parasrampuria, director, iBall.
