New Media Middle School America students go paperless with Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1

New Media Middle School of America, in
association with Samsung Electronics America and Samsung Telecommunications
America, has launched the school’s curriculum featuring Samsung’s Galaxy Tab
10.1.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 will allow New Media
Middle students to use cutting edge technology to access, and better learn
from, a curriculum specifically tuned to their individual needs, interests and
learning styles.

Samsung Electronics America, a provider of
consumer electronics and Samsung Mobile, a mobile phone provider in the U.S.
were selected by New Media Middle because the of their line-up of devices and
expertise in working within the education sector.

“By pairing the Android tablet with cutting
edge educational content, we have developed an innovative and ground-breaking
learning medium for New Media Middle students,” said JY Lew, president of Samsung Electronics America.

“We know students will enjoy working with
the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 to help take their education beyond the pages of a
traditional text book, while teachers will see their curriculum become a
benchmark for other public schools and universities to follow,” Lew added.

New Media Middle helps urban middle school
students bridge the education gap between them and their suburban peers. The
school does this by combining a rigorous academic and community engagement
curriculum with the latest technology to create an interactive and paperless
learning environment.

“New Media Middle was founded to create a
21st century teaching and learning ecosystem where students will be immersed in
a newfound relationship with technology,” said New Media Middle Principal Erik
Cohen.

“Our partnership with Samsung, and the
top-of-the-line features offered by Samsung’s Galaxy 10.1 Tab, will serve as
catalysts to help our students fully utilize this technology-rich ecosystem we
are striving to create,” Cohen added.

American Airlines customers can now have
convenient access to a personal universe of movies, music and TV shows at
35,000 feet.

Recently
