2X Software announced that its 2X Client for Android,
approaching the 500,000 downloads mark from the Android market, has been
selected by Cisco Systems for pre-installation on new Cisco Cius devices, in
addition to existing iPhone, iPad and Android connectivity with 2X
ApplicationServer XG.
Cius is Cisco’s Android-based enterprise-ready tablet,
combining voice, video, collaboration, and virtualization capabilities to meet
the needs of businesses of all sizes. Cisco Cius also allows organizations to
deliver an optimized tablet with enterprise-grade security, naturally extending
their enterprise network, as well as providing centralized manageability,
mobility and a wide variety of applications.
2X Client for Android will allow Cisco Cius users the
ability to access RDP desktops from any location and provide connectivity to
the new 2X ApplicationServer XG, providing application and desktop delivery to
any platform or device.

Cisco recently announced
the commencement of its Cloud Partner Program for partners to effectively
monetize the opportunities in the multi-billion dollar cloud computing space.
Cisco becomes the first infrastructure OEM to offer a
cloud partner program, which rewards partners not only to build clouds on Cisco
infrastructure but also to act as cloud providers and resell cloud services.The new program provides partners flexibility and
empowers them to maximize their profitability by offering their own brand of
Cloud Services Practice that is powered by Cisco.
