Sabih Khan, currently the company’s Senior Vice President of Operations, has been with Apple for three decades and is widely credited as a key architect of Apple’s global supply chain.

Sabih Khan’s salary

Sabih Khan is expected to receive a compensation package similar to his predecessor Jeff Williams. While Apple has not officially disclosed the details of Sabih Khan’s salary, Jeff Williams earned a base salary of $1 million, with total annual compensation reaching up to $23 million including performance-based incentives and equity awards.

Based on this precedent, Sabih Khan’s base salary is likely to be around $1 million, with the potential for total compensation in the range of $20 million to $25 million annually, depending on performance metrics and stock-based rewards. A more detailed breakdown of his compensation will likely be available in Apple’s future financial filings.

Jeff Williams, a long-serving executive who joined Apple in 1998, will remain at the company for the time being, continuing to report to CEO Tim Cook while overseeing Apple’s design team, Apple Watch, and health initiatives. Jeff Williams is expected to retire later this year, after which the design team will report directly to Tim Cook.

Who’s Sabih Khan?

Sabih Khan has played a central role in advancing Apple’s supply chain, spearheading innovations in advanced manufacturing, expanding Apple’s footprint in the U.S., and driving major sustainability efforts that have cut Apple’s carbon footprint by more than 60 percent. Since 2019, he has served on the executive team, managing Apple’s product quality, logistics, manufacturing, and supplier responsibility programs.

Sabih Khan joined Apple’s procurement group in 1995 after working as a technical leader at GE Plastics. He holds degrees in economics and mechanical engineering from Tufts University and a master’s in mechanical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

CEO Tim Cook praised Khan’s leadership, calling him a “brilliant strategist” and “exceptional chief operating officer,” and thanked Jeff Williams for his legacy and service, saying Apple’s future is in “incredible hands.”
