Top 10 smartphone market share list for Q2

ABI Research has come out with top 10 smartphone market share list for Q2. The list is based on vendors’ shipments in the second quarter of 2013.

Samsung leads the smartphone segment with 34.8 percent market share by shipping 74.5 million units. Apple is in second position with 31.24 million units of smartphones.

According to ABI Research, Sony Mobiles, Nokia, BlackBerry, HTC and Motorola are not in the top 5 list. Both ZTE and Huawei — thanks to their cost effective smartphones — are in top 4 and 5 positions, respectively. There are two Korean handset makers — Samsung and LG — in top 5 smartphone market share list.

The other smartphone makers include: LG ( with 12.10 million units), Huawei (11.14 million), ZTE (9.2 million), Sony (8.3 million), Nokia (7.4 million), BlackBerry (6.8 million), HTC (6.63 million) and Motorola (3.5 million).
