Samsung joins hands with Vodafone, Aircel to launch operator billing system

Samsung Electronics Co has partnered with Vodafone and Aircel to launch operator billing integration for its Samsung app store that would allow users (both postpaid and pre-paid) to download their favorite apps and games with the option of payment through their mobile bill.

With the applications, Samsung App store is the first OEM to provide the unique offering for a global Android App store within India.

The partnership will help Vodafone and Aircel customers ready access to the Samsung App Store with the convenience of operator billing. The limited penetration of credit cards makes this service a huge convenience for customers who can now use their account to purchase apps and content.

In the first phase, Samsung has associated with operators for offering this service, integration with other leading operators will be announced soon.
