Research In Motion (RIM) has launched three new
BlackBerry 7 OS smartphones in India.
BlackBerry Bold 9790 is priced at Rs 27,490. BlackBerry
Curve 9380 is available at Rs 20,990, while the price of BlackBerry Curve 9350
is Rs 20,990.
The BlackBerry Bold 9790 combines the BlackBerry keyboard
with a touch display in a slim and narrow design. The BlackBerry Curve 9350 is
the first CDMA-based BlackBerry 7 smartphone to be launched in India.
The BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the first-ever BlackBerry
Curve smartphone with an all-touch display. These three new BlackBerry 7 based
smartphones offer slim and stylish designs with enhanced communications,
multimedia, productivity and social connectivity features.

BlackBerry 7 operating system is receiving from customers in India and we are
very excited to introduce these three new BlackBerry 7 based models here,” said

The new BlackBerry Bold 9790 smartphone combines a touch
display with a keyboard and a precise optical track pad. With the BlackBerry 7
OS and a 1 GHz processor, the Bold 9790 delivers fast, smooth performance for
touch-based navigation, web browsing, multimedia and document management. It
includes 8GB onboard memory and an expandable memory card slot that supports up
to 32 GB of additional storage.
The new BlackBerry Curve 9350 smartphone features GPS and
Wi-Fi support. The micro SD/SDHC slot supports up to 32 GB memory cards for
additional media storage.
BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the first all-touch smartphone
in the BlackBerry Curve family. The BlackBerry Curve 9380 smartphone comes with
preinstalled social networking applications such as BBM, Facebook, Twitter, and
Social Feeds which are integrated within the BlackBerry Curve smartphone
experience.
The BlackBerry Bold 9790, BlackBerry Curve 9350 and
BlackBerry Curve 9380 smartphones include built-in support for Augmented
Reality and NFC, allowing users to connect with the world around them in fresh
new ways.
With Augmented Reality, users can use the Wikitude
application to find nearby BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) contacts in real-time,
read reviews on restaurants close to them, or get the story behind an
interesting landmark or points of interest. NFC also enables many new and
exciting capabilities, including the ability to pair accessories or read
SmartPoster tags with a simple tap of the smartphone.
