Telecom Lead India: Samsung has tied up with Reliance Communications and Vodafone to offer 2G / 3G data package along with Galaxy Mega phones.
Samsung on Tuesday revealed that Reliance Communications mobile users buying Samsung Galaxy Mega will get 2GB data per month free for 3 months as well as unlimited access to Big Movies Library, unlimited WhatsApp, Twitter and Facebook.
As part of the initiative to promote Samsung Galaxy Mega series of phones, Vodafone mobile customers will get 2GB data download per month free for two months (3G + 2G).
Priced at Rs 25,100 in India, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 inches will be available in the market within a week.
The price of the Galaxy Mega 6.3 inches will be Rs 31,490. The 6.3 inch phone will be available in mid June 2013.
“Consumers in India are preferring the larger screen displays in their Smartphones owing to the time they spend doing more with their devices – staying connected with their work and friends/family , web browsing , extensive multimedia viewing and more,” said Vineet Taneja, country head, Samsung Mobile and Digital Imaging Business.
