Motorola Solutions unveils TALKABOUT MS350R/MS355R consumer radios

Telecom Lead America:  Mission-critical
communications solutions provider Motorola Solutions has launched two new
Motorola Talkabout consumer two-way radios.

 

These new radios combine high-performance two-way communications
with rugged waterproof housing and convenient emergency preparedness features.

 

The company claims that the Motorola Talkabout MS series
two-way radios are completely waterproof (IP67 standards). In addition, these
radios floats with included NiMH battery and supports 22 channels + eight
repeater channels, each with 121 privacy codes for 2,662 combinations for
clear, uninterrupted connections.

 

Additionally, these radios feature dual power, works with
three AA batteries (not included) and rechargeable NiMH batteries (included)
that give approximately 27-hour alkaline or nine-hour NiMH estimated talk time.

 

The radios feature an hourglass waterproof design with
rugged side grips, ideal for dad to pack on weekend paddling expeditions and
even extended hunting expeditions in the rain.

 

The MS350R and MS355R two-way radios also feature eight
repeater channels, which provide user the power to extend his range
transmission by accessing a repeater channel.

 

Both radios include an emergency alert feature and access
to seven National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)/Environment
Canada (EC) weather channels and four marine VHF channels, which receive
continuous broadcasts of local and regional weather updates.

 

The Motorola Talkabout MS350R radios have an MSRP of
$99.99 per pair and the Motorola Talkabout MS355R radios have an MSRP of
$109.99 per pair.

 

Targeting enterprises, Motorola Solutions to launch next
generation TETRA solutions

 

Meanwhile, Motorola Solutions is set to launch next
generation TETRA (TErrestrial Trunked RAdio) solutions.

 

Led by the MTP3000 handheld radio series, the new radios
raise the standard in safety, ease of use and device ruggedness.
