Telecom Lead America: Intel Corporation has announced its
collaboration with TeleSign to pair the Intel Identity Protection Technology
(Intel IPT) with TeleSign Two-Factor Authentication.
Through their collaboration, Intel and TeleSign will
offer the highest level of security and convenience to users, improving the
login access process.
“Fraud continues to plague consumers making online
purchases and banking transactions, leaving those with just username and
password logins vulnerable to attacks. Now with Intel Identity Protection
embedded into all Intel Ultrabook devices, and TeleSign extending coverage to
additional devices, websites can provide improved peace of mind for consumers,”
said Gordon Dolfie, general manager, Intel Identity Protection Technology
group.
This collaboration extends one-time-password security
provided by Intel IPT beyond Intel Ultrabook devices and Intel Core vPro (3rd generation) powered laptops to
enable other consumers to benefit from increased account protection.
“Intel’s partnership with TeleSign validates the
need for efficient, highly available and secure out of band authentication from
providers with a proven capability of executing globally. Our vision for truly
global, frictionless security aligns with the embedded security products Intel
is bringing to market,” said Dan Takahashi, director of business
development at TeleSign.
Two-Factor Authentication by TeleSign and Intel IPT offer
an efficient way of logging into accounts.
The technology allows the enterprise to know that
ecommerce or banking is happening with a trusted PC and the consumer gets
stronger account protection with a simple to use, frictionless experience.
TeleSign protects Internet and Cloud properties against
fraud. TeleSign Intelligent Authentication provides an easy-to-implement and
powerful method for identifying and substantially reducing online fraud and
spam using the most widely deployed technology.
The company said that it protects 2.5 billion downstream
users in more than 200 countries, offering localization services in 87
languages.
