Indian telecom service provider Idea Cellular on Thursday said its latest 3G smartphone !d 4000 will cost Rs 4,999.
!d 4000 3G smartphone will be available across 11 circles – Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Kerala, Maharashtra & Goa, Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh (E) and Uttar Pradesh (W).
Idea said !d 4000 features 10.2 cm screen, 1.0 GHz Dual core processor, Android Jelly Bean OS, 3.2 MP camera, expandable micro SD storage up to 32 GB, Bluetooth V4.0, Wi-Fi enabled, etc.
Sashi Shankar, chief marketing officer, Idea Cellular, said: “A large base of Indian consumers want affordable and feature rich smartphones to experience 3G and mobile internet. !d 4000 will address this demand in the market and enable 2G users to upgrade to 3G in our key 3G markets.”
Idea Cellular is offering 3G data benefits of 1.6 GB 3G data and free Idea TV for 3 months, with a pack priced at Rs 259 for existing subscribers, and 1.6 GB 3G data and free Idea TV for 3 months, with a pack priced at Rs 261 for new mobile users.
With the launch the new device, Idea’s portfolio of 3G smartphones has gone up to 16.
The Aditya Birla group company has already sold over 7 lakh devices from its earlier range of 8.89 cm, 10.16 cm, 11.43 cm, and 12.7 cm screen categories.
