Jun Young-hyun will be the head of its memory chip business and co-CEO of Samsung.

Han Jin-man will be the head of the foundry business with a promotion to president.

Nam Seok-woo, who has been head of chip factory engineering and operations, will be the Chief Technology Officer of the foundry business.

Samsung Electronics is lagging its rivals in supplying chips to Nvidia in the AI market, Reuters news report said.

Samsung in May appointed Jun Young-hyun as the head of the semiconductor division to tackle chip crisis.

Park Hark-kyu, president and CFO of Samsung Electronics, will move to the Business Support Task Force.

Samsung’s semiconductor business reported 40 percent drop in quarter-on-quarter profit in the July-September quarter, as the company has struggled to catch up with rivals TSMC and SK Hynix.

Samsung has named Yong Kwan Kim as President of Management Strategy at DS Division; previously Executive Vice President of Business Support TF.

Samsung has named Wonjin Lee as President and Head of Global Marketing Office; previously executive advisor for Samsung Electronics.
