Vodafone leads rural mobile subscriber net additions with 1.03 mn in Sept

Indian telecom service provider Vodafone is leading the rural mobile subscriber net additions with 1.03 million users in September 2014.

All India GSM rural subscriber base reached 307.54 million in September 2014.

Vodafone to expand rural network

The net addition of rural mobile subscribers was 2.81 million in September with 0.92 percent increase from the previous month.

Bharti Airtel continues lead the rural mobile subscriber base with 97.45 million.

Uttar Pradesh East circle has the maximum rural subscribers with 32.44 million, while Gujarat added the maximum rural subscribers in September 2014 with 0.91 million.
