FiberCop Taps Adtran to Power Italy’s Ultra‑Fast Metro Network

Adtran’s FSP 3000 open optical transport platform, Mosaic Network Controller software, and coherent 100ZR pluggable optics will support 100 Gbit/s and 400 Gbit/s links across major cities. The deployment enhances automation, scalability, and network management, strengthening Italy’s digital infrastructure and open‑access connectivity. This move builds on over 20 years of collaboration between the two companies.

This marks the first time eSIM connectivity has been embedded in Indonesia’s popular super app, enhancing convenience for travellers and expanding Grab’s digital offerings.

China Telecom Breaks Ground with MoE AI Models Powered Solely by Huawei Chips

China Telecom has developed the nation’s first Mixture‑of‑Experts (MoE) artificial intelligence models trained entirely on Huawei’s domestically designed AI chips. The TeleChat3 models, ranging from 105 billion to over a trillion parameters, were trained on Huawei’s Ascend 910B processors using the MindSpore AI framework, according to a technical paper by China Telecom’s Institute of Artificial Intelligence. This marks the first public demonstration that a full MoE architecture can be trained without foreign hardware.
