This may help the company get more customers and earn more money, The Economic Times reports.
Airtel Shows Business Names on Calls and Blocks Spam
Airtel has started a service that shows the name of the business when they call a customer. This helps people know who is calling. Airtel also added a tool that finds and blocks spam calls using AI. The tool works before the person even answers the phone. This helps keep phone calls safe and clear for both businesses and customers.
Tejas Networks Completes BSNL Equipment Supply
Tejas Networks has finished delivering equipment for BSNL’s 4G and 5G networks. The project is part of a ₹7,492 crore deal. BSNL will start 4G services in June 2025 and 5G later. Tejas is also working with Vodafone Idea and bidding for more contracts, including the Rail Kavach system. They are partnering with NEC Corporation for telecom tech development.
Jio Expands 5G and Private Networks
Jio has 5.6 million users on its 5G service and is connecting homes with AirFiber (5G broadband). They are also building private 5G networks for businesses. Jio’s network now handles 45 percent of all wireless traffic in India and is aiming to connect 100 million homes using fiber and 5G.
Colliers Acquires Terra Consulting Group
Colliers has bought Terra Consulting Group, a telecom engineering firm in Chicago. Terra offers services in telecom engineering, land development, and site design. This deal strengthens Colliers’ position in the Midwest and expands its telecom services. The terms of the deal were not shared.
