Telefonica Plans Job Cuts

MTNL has missed the interest payment on its Rs 6,100 crore bonds because it did not have enough money. The company issued the bonds in November 2022 with a government guarantee. If MTNL does not pay, the Indian government will step in to make the payment.

NTC Suspends Network Maintenance for Eleksyon 2025

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has stopped network repairs from May 5 to 14, 2025, to keep communication smooth during the elections. Providers must finish their work by May 3, 2025. Emergency repairs are allowed with rules. The NTC is working with other agencies to monitor any issues. Teams are ready in all 16 NTC offices to keep connections stable for the elections on May 12, 2025.
