Attendees can also challenge popular gaming content creators during a special “take-over” event at the Nokia booth. Featuring unique latency and queuing technologies, the Beacon 24 is designed to offer service providers a high-performance Wi-Fi gateway with gaming-level latency, enhanced further by Nokia’s Corteca platform and its gaming optimization application.

Samsung Electronics to add VoLTE function to enhance voice call quality

The GSMA has partnered with Samsung Electronics to enhance voice call quality and connectivity over 4G and 5G by enabling VoLTE (Voice over LTE) by default on all devices running Android 15 or later. This move supports the global transition away from 2G and 3G networks, ensuring essential services like emergency calling and roaming remain functional. In collaboration with the GSMA’s Network Settings Exchange (NSX) and Interoperability Testing services, Samsung aims to deliver consistent and reliable voice services across operators and regions. All Samsung devices with Android 15 or newer, including the Galaxy S25 series, will automatically use high-quality VoLTE based on operator IMS settings or GSMA Profile #4 when needed.
