By Telecom Lead Team: LitePoint, a provider of
wireless test solutions, announced the opening of expanded operations
in Shanghai with a new facility in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park, a
planned area of 25 square kilometers located in northern Pudong New
Area, Shanghai.
The technology park is the East Asia home of some of
the world’s leading technology brands and manufacturers and a natural fit for
LitePoint’s core strategy of continued growth in Asia, where the majority
of LitePoint’s customers and future growth reside.
“We are continuing to make major investments
in Asia as we implement our strategy of building centers of
innovation in our key markets, in close proximity to our customers,”
said Spiros Bouas, chief operating officer at LitePoint.
Company officials say its Asian operations aren’t just sales or
support offices. It’s important that key functions such as product development
and business operations be completely local in order to fully support the
unique needs of our customers in these distinct markets.
The new Shanghai facility is in addition to
LitePoint’s Asian operations in Shenzhen, Taipei and Tokyo.
LitePoint, a wholly owned subsidiary of Teradyne, designs,
develops and supports advanced wireless test solutions for developers of
wireless devices and consumer electronics, contract manufacturers and wireless
integrated circuit designers.
LitePoint solutions have optimized and verified the operation of
more than one billion wireless devices worldwide. LitePoint products are used
in development and high-volume manufacturing, providing its customers with
improved ROI, time-to-market, manufacturing yields, and product quality.
