Kazakhstan mobile operator Kcell deploys Comptel provisioning and activation to support 3G

By Telecom Lead Team: Comptel Corporation,
a provider of dynamic Operations Support System (OSS) software, announced
that Kcell,
a telecom service provider in Kazakhstan, has
deployed Comptel Provisioning and Activation, a product within
the Comptel Fulfillment suite.

Kcell wanted to replace its existing
provisioning system with an off-the-shelf”, vendor-independent and
easy-to-configure solution.

Comptel Provisioning and Activation offered
the transparent deployment and integration with existing OSS/BSS systems,
besides an agile Service Oriented Architecture to support Kcell’s future
OSS/BSS needs. The solution was deployed and put into production in less than
three months.

Kcell, a mobile-based voice and broadband
services provider in Kazakhstan, serves more than seven million people
nationwide.

Comptel Provisioning and Activation enables
operators to fully automate the process of handling subscriber orders, to
activating resources and services in the network, all the way up to the start
of billing. The solution helps operators control costs, reduce manual errors
and deliver services to subscribers without delay, thus increasing customer
satisfaction and reducing churn.

We are very pleased to partner with Kcell
for its service activation. The Kcell deployment is one of a number of new
deployments of Comptel Fulfillment, demonstrating the strong trust that leading
CSPs have in our solution,” said Timo Koistinen, senior vice president, Europe
East, Comptel.

Recently,
Comptel announced that Thai mobile operator Real Move has selected Comptel
Fulfillment to meet its provisioning and activation needs. A new
subsidiary of True Corporation, Real Move required a proven, future-proof
solution to help it efficiently roll out and fulfill the market’s demand for 3G
services.
