Telecom Lead Team: RSA, a provider of
security, risk, and compliance solutions and the Security Division of EMC and
Good Technology, a provider of secure and managed enterprise mobility have
entered into a development partnership to enhance mobile application security.
Under the partnership, RSA will work with Good Technology
to integrate RSA’s mobile authentication technologies with its Good for
Enterprise, Good for Government, and Good Dynamics platforms.
The integration will help in protecting corporate data
with strong two-factor authentication for Apple iOS and Android applications.
The first of the integrated solutions are expected in the second half of the
year.
“Our technology integration with RSA will allow
enterprises to deploy enhanced levels of security without increasing complexity
designed to enable a simplified yet secure mobile user experience that will
help enhance employee productivity while keeping corporate information secure,”
said Nicko van Someren, chief technology officer, Good Technology.
Good Technology will enhance the Good for Enterprise and
Good for Government suite of solutions with the RSA Authentication Manager and
RSA Secure Authentication Engine technology, adding support for one-time
password (OTP) authentication to mobile devices and applications.
Working together we will be able to deliver a gold
standard for helping companies secure their network access and protect
important information,” said Tom Heiser, president, RSA.
RSA has also announced that it is collaborating with
leading-edge mobile technology providers and developers to build additional
layers of security and access control into next-generation mobile solutions by
integrating RSA mobile authentication technology into their products.
RSA mobile authentication technology is designed to
enable innovative mobile use cases that incorporate strong security without
sacrificing usability.
Working in collaboration with RSA, mobile technology
providers are integrating RSA mobile authentication into virtual desktop,
virtual application, and VPN solutions in order to secure access to traditional
network environments.
RSA is working with Mobile technology developers such as
Juniper Networks, Citrix and VMware. Also, it is teaming up with technology
providers such as Appcelerator, FeedHenry and ZScaler.
“We’ve brought together the best of RSA SecurID and
RSA Adaptive Authentication to create a mobile-optimized security platform that
developer can seamlessly embed into their mobile applications,” said Dan
Schiappa, senior VP & group general manager, identity and data protection
at RSA.
Last year, RSA launched its NetWitness Panorama technology and enhancements to its RSA
