NTT Communications introduces VPLS services in Europe

Telecom Lead Europe: NTT Communications, a provider of
ICT services, has unveiled additional Virtual Private LAN Services (VPLS)
for customers in Europe.

The new offering will provide its European customers with
multipoint, multi-site to multi-site connectivity with extensive EU footprint.
Furthermore, enterprise customers will be able to get cost effective networking
solutions.

The company said VPLS service will provide next
generation layer 2 Ethernet capabilities in 30 countries across Europe, backed
by 24×7 customer support, customer portal access and leading SLA.

“This platform underpins our strategy to virtualise
the network infrastructure layer and add valuable services over the coming
years as NTT Communications moves towards its Cloud Vision,” John Hammond, VP
business network services at NTT Europe.

The services have recently been purchased by Xing,
the professional business network with more than 12 million members worldwide.

Holger Burger, director site operations at XING said they
chose NTT Communications to address high demands on bandwidth and reliability
to connect offices and data centers.

The network is such a fundamental component that we had
to get that right. NTT Communications were very flexible and helpful to us in
their approach and we hope to work with them long term,” Burger added.

NTT Communications to acquire 50.1% stake in a DTSI company

NTT Communications has also entered into an agreement
with the Diversified Technology Solutions International (DTSI) Group.

Under the agreement, NTT Com will acquire a 50.1 percent
stake in Freedom Resources Holdings Corporation, the holding company of
the DTSI Group. Through the tie-up, NTT Com aims to fortify its contact center
capabilities in the Philippines by creating operational synergies with DTSI
Group, including by leveraging their respective customer bases.
