Maveric Systems wins recognition from Department of Scientific & Industrial Research

Maveric
Systems, a global independent software testing specialist, announced that its
R&D facility has been granted recognition by the Department of Scientific
& Industrial Research (DSIR).

Maveric’s
R&D facility is located in the IIT Madras Research Park. This recognition
was given after 18-month long assessment by the DSIR.

This
accreditation will strengthen the investments into collaboration initiatives
with teaching and research institutes and also enable better access to
government institutions looking for testing tools and services.

Over the last
3 years, we have invested about INR 3 crore in R&D aimed at furthering our
twin mantras of -Design Better’ and -Execute Faster’. This accreditation is a
strong acknowledgement of our ongoing commitment to innovation and will provide
a fillip to our objective of achieving over 30 percent of revenues from
IP-enabled services by 2014,” said V N Mahesh, executive director and
co-founder of Maveric Systems.

Maveric has an
MoU with IIT Madras, wherein IIT Madras helps Maveric further its R&D in
software testing through a combination of research projects, consultancy,
student sponsorship and joint IP development activities.

This R&D
centre with a 40-member team has a strong focus on creating IP that helps to
substantially improve the quality of test design, quickens test execution and
achieves exponential reduction in testing cycle times.

Department of
Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) comes under the Ministry of Science
& Technology and is the nodal department for granting recognition to
in-house R&D units in Industry, and Scientific and Industrial Research
Organizations (SIROs).

Recently,
Maveric Systems announced its multi-year contract with SBI
General Insurance to provide Software Testing and Validation services.
