Lookout Call introduces iPhone app for worker safety system

Telecom Lead America: Lookout Call, a provider of lone
worker safety system, which is used by more than 18,000 lone workers throughout
the UK, has launched iPhone App version of personal safety system.


With the launch of this personal alarm iPhone App, the
company is now targeting the consumer market.


Available to purchase via the iTunes App store, the app
is based on C3’s Lookout Call lone worker safety system.


Speaking on the launch Brian Caddy, sales manager at
Lookout Call said that the company sees huge potential for this iPhone
App.


He added that the app is an effective safety net that
will appeal to a wide consumer base that needs reassurance that people will be
alerted should something unexpected happen to either them, or their loved ones.


The Lookout Call lone worker safety system allows users
to set a countdown timer and provide a spoken description of the activity that
they are doing, including their location details.


The app raises an alarm if the countdown expires, then
triggers the Lookout Call system to contact nominated -responders’ who are
telephoned and advised that the user requires assistance.


The App works by charging customers for the countdown
alarms they set, via a credits system.


The company said that businesses that already use Lookout
Call will be able to use the iPhone App for free.
