Samsung names TM Roh as Acting Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division

Samsung Electronics announced that TM Roh, Head of Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, will also serve as the Acting Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division. Won-joon Choi has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the MX Business.

TM Roh takes on the additional role of Acting Head of the DX Division while continuing as Head of MX Business. Previously, he was President and Head of MX Business and Head of the Corporate Design Center.

Won-joon Choi, now COO of MX Business, retains his roles as Head of R&D Office and Head of Global Operation Team of MX Business. Previously, he served as President and Head of R&D Office and Head of Global Operation Team of MX Business.

Cheolgi Kim has been appointed as the Head of Digital Appliances Business. Previously, he was Executive Vice President and Head of Strategic Marketing Office of MX Business.

Samsung Electronics has also named Mauro Porcini as its President and Chief Design Officer (CDO). Previously holding leadership roles at PepsiCo and 3M, Porcini brings extensive experience in design innovation.

Born in Italy, Porcini holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Industrial Design from Politecnico di Milano. At PepsiCo, he was recognized for leading the company’s design teams and enhancing the overall brand experience.

With Porcini’s addition, Samsung Electronics aims to strengthen its design capabilities across mobile, TV, and home appliances.
