The solution integrates 5G and 4G into a single set of servers, increasing capacity for home broadband and enterprise applications. Airtel will use Nokia’s automation framework for zero-touch service launch and efficient lifecycle management, enabling faster service delivery and cost reduction.

Nokia’s Packet Core solution will help Airtel advance toward 5G standalone (SA) readiness, optimizing hardware footprint and lowering cost per bit. The rollout covers most of Airtel’s service regions, incorporating GenAI for autonomous network orchestration and assurance.

Randeep Sekhon, CTO of Bharti Airtel, said Nokia’s Packet Core will be enhancing customer experience.

Nokia’s modular server-based solution increases flexibility for diverse business models, allowing Airtel to reach new customers and create new revenue streams. Its Packet Core solution for Fixed Wireless Access enhances home broadband and enterprise application services with extreme bandwidth and capacity.

Nokia’s core presence in Airtel’s network includes VoLTE, HSS, HLR, UDM, VoNR, and MANO technologies.
