Ixia to launch 25 Gigabit Ethernet validation solution

Ixia is set to launch its 25 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) validation solution at a telecom event in Los Angeles.

Being launched at the Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) in Los Angeles from March 24-26, 2015 the Ixia’s solution enables its customers to deploy 25GbE in order to meet data center needs.

Ixia, a member of the 25G/50G Ethernet Consortium and Ethernet Alliance, will demonstrate the solution at Ixia’s OFC booth (#2737).

25GbE has emerged as a key in-rack connectivity technology for the data center. 25GbE provides 2.5x the bandwidth of 10GbE, with minimal increase in footprint.

“Ixia has developed the world’s first validation solutions for many Ethernet technologies, including 100GbE QSFP28, 400GbE, and now 25GbE,” said Sunil Kalidindi, vice president, Product Management of Ixia.

Ixia’s 25GbE solution builds on its QSFP28 Xcellon-Multis load modules by providing the 25GbE speed in addition to the previously available 100GbE speed.
