HP joins forces with Dolby to offer superior PC sound in notebooks

Telecom Lead India: Hewlett-Packard (HP) India
collaborated with Dolby Laboratories to offer world-class entertainment
features in its new range of consumer notebooks.

 

As a part of this collaboration, HP announced the Folio
13, a thin and light design, with up to 9.5 hours of battery life for enhanced
listening time, strong security options and a responsive solid state hard drive
for the ultimate mobile experience.

 

The HP Folio 13, a series from HP will integrate Dolby
Advanced Audio v2 for cinematic surround sound.

 

According to a recent research report1, 23 per cent of
Indian youth said they spent more time listening to music whilst 83 per cent
said music formed a very important part of their lives. The youth in our
country, a very significant part of our target audience, are therefore looking
for best – in – class music capabilities even when it comes to their PCs,” said
Ranjivjit Singh, chief marketing officer, HP PSG India.

 

HP will introduce a new range of consumer notebooks
called Pavilion G series that will further delight users with new styles and
enhanced features, envisioned to keep in step with your passions for music.

 

The collaboration with Dolby, the global provider of
technologies that are essential elements in the best entertainment experiences,
would thus enable HP to tap into this very need and offer superior entertainment
experience to consumers at affordable prices,” he added.

exceptional clarity to enhance the PC experience Dolby Advanced Audio v2
immerses audiences in their entertainment, enabling them to enjoy their
favorite music, movies, and other content anytime, anywhere,” said Ashim
Mathur, head of Marketing, Dolby, India.

 

The Dolby Advanced Audio v2 offers surround virtualizer,
volume Leveler, volume maximizer, graphic equalizer, Audio optimizer and audio
regulator.

 

Recently, HP
launched of new Application Transformation solutions that helps
enterprises integrate mobile-based enterprise applications into the traditional
computing environment.
