Harmonic selects iPass Open Mobile service for Wi-Fi connectivity for its workforce

Telecom Lead America: Harmonic, a provider of video
delivery infrastructure, has selected the iPass Open Mobile service for
seamless Wi-Fi connectivity for its workforce.

 

iPass, a global provider of Wi-Fi and enterprise mobility
services, claims that iPass Open Mobile provides access to the world’s largest
commercial Wi-Fi network of over one million Wi-Fi hotspots including in-flight
Internet and far more hotels, airports, and business venues than any other
network.

 

Harmonic enables content and service providers to
efficiently create, prepare, and deliver differentiated video services for
television and new media platforms.

 

Christophe Culine, senior vice president of worldwide
sales, said with iPass Open Mobile, Harmonic is able to take control of its
enterprise mobility costs and enable its employees to be globally mobile on
laptops, smartphones and tablets without compromising security or cost.

 

Triet Nguyen, IT manager at Harmonic, said with iPass
Open Mobile we provide employees secure Wi-Fi access and the ability for IT to
take control of real-time data roaming costs.

 

Moreover, iPass Open Mobile enables organizations to
provide mobile employees with connectivity to the world’s largest commercial
Wi-Fi network, providing a consistent user experience across smartphones,
tablets and laptops while avoiding costly roaming charges and expensive Wi-Fi
day passes.
