Dialog Axiata taps Netcracker to consolidate billing into single platform

Dialog Axiata Sri LankaOSS BSS company Netcracker said telecom operator Dialog Axiata will be utilizing its Customer Billing Management solution to consolidate billing across business into a single platform.

Dialog’s retail and enterprise fixed-line subscribers will be shifting to Netcracker’s BSS, which already bills for Dialog’s GSM, digital TV and Wi-Fi businesses.

The technology company said that the consolidation of billing processes onto Netcracker’s Customer Billing Management solution will enable Dialog to open new revenue opportunities by offering converged services.

Netcracker said the Customer Billing Management solution will help Dialog deliver better customer experience, bring new services to market faster and reduce Opex due to the need to manage fewer systems.

“Consistency across all lines of business and minimizing the number of systems required enables us to offer new digital services faster and provide innovative bundles that our customers expect,” said Anthony Rodrigo, group chief information officer at Dialog.

The portfolio includes Business & Operational Consulting, End-to-End Turnkey Delivery, Support & Maintenance, Managed Services & End-to-End Outsourcing, Cloud Enablement and Agile Development & DevOps services.

OSS BSS market

Meanwhile, the global cloud Operation Support System (OSS) Business Support System (BSS) market is expected to grow from $11.67 billion in 2017 to $21.77 billion by 2022, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 13.3 percent during the forecast period.

Need for business agility, faster deployment and scalability, increasing awareness about cloud OSS BSS among Communication Service Providers (CSPs), and reduced costs of ownership are the growth drivers. CSPs face some challenges including security concerns and resistance to adopt cloud technologies for adopting cloud OSS BSS.
