CETECOM, a vendor of test and certification for wireless communication devices, has selected the R&S TS8980FTA-2 and R&S CMW500 wireless test platforms of Rohde & Schwarz for testing for LTE Release 10 carrier aggregation, IMS, VoLTE, RCS, E911 over IMS, A-GNSS, OTDOA and eCID.
R&S TS8980FTA-2 and R&S CMW500 can address the testing complexities as devices using VoLTE must support E911 over IMS for emergency services. Testing E911 over IMS involves the verification of the IMS protocol stack and location determination performance.
Location based services technologies, such as the satellite based A-GNSS or LTE network based OTDOA, must be tested without adding significant cost or time to the testing and certification process.
