CES 2012: InterDigital to showcase advanced wireless technologies

InterDigital announced that it will showcase advanced
wireless technologies that are expected to drive tomorrow’s consumer devices at
the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.


InterDigital’s wireless innovations are at the core of
the latest smartphones, tablets, games, and connected devices that will be
unveiled at CES,” said William J. Merritt, president and chief executive officer
of InterDigital.


InterDigital is creating the technologies and industry
standards that deliver the necessary broadband capacity to connect people and
things seamlessly across multiple networks with billions of devices and
trillions of connections around the world.


During the event, the company will host live technology
demonstrations that offer a preview into the future of mobile broadband and
consumer electronics.


The company will demonstrate Standardized service layer
and application programming interfaces (APIs) for wireless machine-to-machine
(M2M) communications that creates a common framework and roadmap for operators,
service providers and device manufacturers to accelerate the proliferation of
new M2M services and applications across multiple vertical markets on a global
scale.


The company will also demonstrate traffic management and
off-loading technologies intelligently address the wireless bandwidth crunch
and deliver optimized quality of experience for any device and any service,
across any network. Additionally, the latest advancements in efficient
multimedia content delivery and enhancements to the standard for video
transmission over wireless.
