BMC introduces new mobile device management solution

Telecom Lead Europe: BMC Software has introduced the
BMC Mobile Device Management solution to deliever mobile computing freedom to
its customers.

Powered by AirWatch, a provider of mobile device
management, the new solution emphasize on mobile consumers instead of just
mobile devices.

The company claims that the new solution bridges the gap
between the mobile device and the mobile user by incorporating applications and
content alongside a balanced approach to corporate and employee owned
solutions.

“It’s dangerously shortsighted for organizations to
focus solely on device management without considering the implications that
mobile content and applications have on the business. It is like trying to
construct a building without understanding what it will be used for,” said, Kia
Behnia, chief technology officer at BMC.

Having new management capabilities, the new solution
covers all device types including mobile phones and tablets, as well as mobile
applications and content.

The new BMC Mobile Device Management solution is made of
AirWatch technology and BMC’s Business Service Management solutions.

BMC is also offering new mobility apps for IT management
that help businesses offer capabilities of the BMC Remedy IT Service Management
Suite to mobile workers.

“By upgrading to BMC’s secure, mobile ITSM solution,
we’ve seen Federal customers increase their IT efficiency and process agility.
This enables them to achieve their mission, which is to serve and protect the
nation,” said Mike Campbell, BMC Remedy implementation manager at Dev
Technology Group.
